Generalized Pythagorean Theorem in Inner Product Spaces | Linear Algebra
We prove the Pythagorean Theorem generalized to real inner product spaces. This says the square of the norm of the sum of two orthogonal vectors u and v is equal to the sum of the squares of the norms of those two vectors. This is easy to prove by definition of orthogonality and the basic properties of inner products. #linearalgebra

      @WrathofMath Hey, can I ask you a question?! When you say (A, R) is a POset, how do you read (A, R)? I mean, what these symbols ( , ) represent here? Does it mean that A has an R relation in its elements?

    • @WrathofMath
      @WrathofMath День назад

      That's correct, in general (A,R) is fairly ambiguous notation and can mean a lot of things, but in context we understand (A,R) is the set A with the partial order relation R on it.

Or is there no name for it and technically we just need to specify that the number on the right be equal to or less than the left and then it's a binary operation?!? Edit: I see "partial binary operation"... Is that correct?
